How we make money

The short version
This site is free and carries no advertising. Where we link to a car rental company, that link earns us a commission if you book. You pay the same price either way. The commission never changes what we write about a country.
What happens when you click
The link sends you through our partner network to the rental company. They record that you arrived from us, so they know to pay us if you book. That record is theirs and lives on their site, not on ours.
We do not learn who you are. We see how many people clicked from each country page, and nothing else.
What it never changes
Every speed limit, alcohol limit and equipment rule on this site comes from an official source — a transport ministry, a national police force, or a national motoring organisation. Money plays no part in any of it.
No rule is softened, no country is ranked higher, and no value is changed because a partner would prefer it. The data files themselves contain no commercial links at all, so this is a property of how the site is built and not only a promise.
